In July 2011 my mom was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer which an aggressive and rare form of cancer with a 30% survival rate. As she has gone through treatment we have found ourselves saying over and over again, “We could never have done this if we didn’t live in Canada.” The healthcare system in Canada is saving her life and our family’s ability to give financial support. In order to keep her spirits up during this time, I asked friends from around Canada to forward a photo of a place where they feel life around them and in the photo they had to embed the word LIFE. These photos are from different Canadians all supporting the LIFE project, aiming to remind loved ones in challenging times that life is all around them. less «
