“Self Adornment”
The (16/20) inches Oil painting on board exhibits the culture of the people Samburu and the Maasai of Kenya, both genders are always very colourful and eager to attract attention by wearing an array of beads.
The number of beaded necklaces worn by a Maasai woman indicates whether she is married, if she has children, and how wealthy she is.
After marriage, Maasai women wear beaded collars to signal a different status. less «
