What more can i say about my views on art that cannot be surmised through a simple quote.

"a painting requires a little mysterey, some vaugness, some fantasy. When you always make your meaning perfectly plain you end up boring people" Edgar Degas

So much behind this piece of art...

its very big actually, the dimesions are maybe three and a half feet in width and four and a half in height. I almost tore this in half when i first finished it but decided i needed some proof of work for my art class. When my teacher put it up on the classroom wall i told him that it made me want to die and i walked out. Dramatic? perhaps. It was a bit of a dissapointment but Ive gotten over my initial hate of it.

I actually like this piece (contrary to my sentiments toward the majority of this work) for its moody, luminous quality. Its a very difficult picture to capture in a digital photograph unfortunatly most likley due to the nature of the medium and its take to lighting. Someone once told me that they liked it because it seemed so ethereal to them. I kind of liked the name and ended up titling it just that. It looks terrible photographed...

What does this piece of art mean to me? Not much in terms of symbology; its a mere location drawn to relative accuracey.
