I grew up in a small village in the southeast of the Netherlands. North of Venlo, between the river Maas (or Mosa) and the German border, there is a tiny strip of land. It's about 2 kilometers wide and there's a single regional road connecting all villages. Since the river flows in the west and Germany lies in the east, they only border each other in the north or the south. less «
