This photo was taken while out snowmobiling with friends on frozen Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories. It was 2 pm as the sun set on the shortest day of the year-- December 21, 2010, and -30 degrees. This photo exemplifies who we are as Northerners, out enjoying the unparalleled remoteness and beauty of our land. I have traveled the world, and few places have taken my breath away and made me realize who I am as a Canadian, as much as my home territory. less «
