Toronto-based multidisciplinary sculpture installation artist. Hybrid sculptural artworks, which explore issues of diasporic identity and deconstruction of racial discrimination. The satirical use of the balaclava deconstructs the projected fears associated with the black male body to give the viewer the opportunity to understand what is behind the mask. What I ask of the audience in this work is to look under the balaclava, to not only examine, but delve deeper and try to grasp the feeling of disenfranchisement one feels when one is the recipient of discrimination.
