I'm committed to human rights in all aspects and hope to use education and research to help change the damaging discourses maintaining oppression in the world. I believe that if these are tackled in early childhood then they can be dispelled for good. I am a life-long student, and have a thirst for an education in just about everything. My main interests involve looking at the world and social issues in terms of postmodernist, feminist, and anti-oppression standpoints. In 2006 I completed my diploma in Early Childhood Education at Mohawk College and will achieve my BA in Child and Youth Studies at Brock University in 2010. Afterwards I will hopefully begin my MA and continue on from there. In the meantime I intend to contribute as much time as possible to the needs of people in my community through diverse volunteer work.
