The sneakerhead & fashion community is more present than ever, especially here in Montreal. Some would even say we’re the Mecca of fashion in Canada, with a strong community building and growing on the daily.
My art piece is the place that best describes the community for me; the community centre. I moved around a lot while growing up and it could be a bit of a social shock for me, but the community centre was always a place I felt at home. I always got to engage in fun activities there that made me feel like I belonged.
My piece displays my favorite part about Newfoundland. The storms and the lighthouses. I love waves crashing around the shores and it’s just a magical thing to experience.
