I am a aboriginal woman from northern Alberta I grew up with my traditional arts practices. this artwork is the focus of today's world and the balance of the past. How each is important. Even though my grandparents are now passed they have helped with my personal growth as a person. Each day I had grown with them was a day full of knowledge. Legends, dreams, goals, hard work, and personal efforts everyday were the motivation to learn how to live within the world of today. Not only did my family traditional arts practices help me as a person but they formed my views as a woman. In this day of age it is hard to balance the viewpoints of traditional methods of past times. My grandparents worked everyday of their lives in order to survive. Today there is chance to survive under different terms. We are growing within other terms. The effects of globalization and urbanization have impacted out motivations of the ourselves. We developed a sense of balance to live in the world today. less «
