Worldwide Art Contest<br /> ‘Our Year’ is a call to the youth aged 13 to 25. The United Nations has declared 2010 the International Year of Youth we want to hear your voice. What are your hopes and dreams for this year? What kind of mark do we want to leave? This is the perfect moment for youth entrepreneurship, global citizenship and social responsibility.<br /> <br /> CONTEST PERIOD:<br /> Submissions will be accepted from July 12th, 2010 to September 1st, 2010<br /> <br /> <br /> - Artwork can be submitted in the form of a video or digital image that can be uploaded (including, but not limited to: painting, sculpture, and photography).<br /> - Video guidelines: Entrants may submit their videos the same way as any other submission by following the instructions outlined on the website. Videos can have a maximum length of 3 minutes and must use only original or royalty-free music and images. <br /> - Digital Image guidelines: Supported file formats include jpg., jpeg., and gif. (up to 4 megabytes). Images must have a minimum size of 800 x 600 pixels.<br /> <br /> TIPS<br /> <br /> Global Citizenship applies the concept of citizenship to a global level and is associated with the concepts of regional economies, societies, and cultures coming together in a global network of communication. How can youth make an impact on our global society to establish and reach a goal to effectively communicate GLOBALLY to bring peace, resolve conflict, and communicate in a way that can provide innovation and create a positive change for the future. <br /> <br /> Youth Entrepreneurship: Think closely to the idea of a particular product or business that through an entrepreneurial approach can provide innovation that can create a global change. <br /> <br /> Social Responsibility: How can the youth take on a responsibility to global society as a whole? What kind of ethical responsibilities to citizens, businesses and organizations have to our global society and how can youth contribute to making a positive impact on these responsibilities? <br /> <br /> Brainstorm about these ideas, you may elaborate on one, or elaborate on all of them. There is no RIGHT or WRONG answer.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

TakingITGlobal and/or Intelius will notify individuals who have submitted winning entries in August 2010.

- The ‘Our Year’ worldwide Art Contest is open to youth aged 13-25.<br /> - Submissions are limited to one (1) participant.<br /> - Entries must be the original artwork of the participants.<br /> - Employees, officers, and directors of iEARN, TakingItGlobal, and Intelius are not eligible to participate in this contest.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> - If you are not a member yet, click on “Join TIG” to become a member of the TakingITGlobal online community at www.TakingITGlobal.org.<br /> - Upload a digital version of your artwork by clicking the "Add Artwork" tab on this page. <br /> - Upload a video by linking your YouTube account with the Global Gallery. You can then submit your video entry as you would any other submission to the Contest.<br /> - Watch your inbox for an email confirmation of your submission from the TakingITGlobal team. If you do not receive such an email within 7 days, please email rachna@takingitglobal.org to confirm that your submission has been successfully uploaded.

By submitting to the contest, participants grant TakingITGlobal and Intelius a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to copy, digitize, store, distribute, publish, display, stream, advertise, promote or otherwise use your artwork and their descriptions, in any media or format (including the Internet).<br /> TakingITGlobal and Intelius reserve the rights, at their option, to publish any winner’s name, city of residence, photograph, statement regarding the contest, as well as publish or use any artwork submitted, for any purposes, without compensation. Personal information will be collected solely for the purposes of this contest and will not serve for any other purpose. By providing this information, the participants consent to its use for the purposes indicated.<br /> TakingITGlobal and Intelius assume no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, damaged, misdirected or delayed. By entering, participants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of contest organizers, which are final.
