Yara Kassem is a human rights researcher,she currently works as a researcher in the Egyptian national council for human rights.She's a fine arts graduate, studied Cartooning and Iluustration in... read more Yara Kassem is a human rights researcher,she currently works as a researcher in the Egyptian national council for human rights.She's a fine arts graduate, studied Cartooning and Iluustration in Helwan university,she has a passion for editorial cartooning, she'd always wanted to be an editorial cartoonist. She has a long volunteering experience with several NGOs in Egypt, starting by those working with the orphans,cancer patients, earthquake victims, to those working with development and human rights.In 2004, she was heading a team of field researchers to create the "Cairo guide for volunteers" that contains info abd volunteer opportunities in 70 NGOs working in Cairo published by the UNDP and the NGOs service center in Cairo. She participated in many international conference about Sustainable development, starting by the YES 2002 ( Youth employment summit) in Alexandria where she was a facilitator, and then the African youth parliament 2003 in Nairobi where she was a member for the regional advisory board representing North-Africa, and then the World congress of youth 2003 in Morocco.
