Lord Ganesha - Om Ganeshai Namah. Ganesha, the Lord (eesh_) of categories (gana) is the elephant headed Hindu god of wisdom, literature and success. Also called Vighnashvara and Vighanharta, He is the lord of and destroyer of obstacles. Invoking Him at the outset of any venture or undertaking ensures success, prosperity and good fortune. Ganesha, the God of auspicious beginnings, is invoked by many names viz:-Ganpati (Lord of gana) , Vighneshvara (god of obstacles) , Vighanharta (destroyer of obstacles) , Vinayaka (the prominent leader) , Gajanana (elephant faced) , Lambodar (pendant bellied) , Ekdanta (one tusked) , Gajadhipati (Lord of elephants) etc.
