Junior Summit changed her life from a very shy and introvert person to a bold and enthusiastic person who wanted to do something positive for the youth and the society. She has been actively involved in Nation1 and The Junior Journal, which were the outcomes of the Junior Summit. She was fortunate to attend the 7th Annual International iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) held in China in July, 2000 where she presented a workshop on Nation1. She was also selected as one of the 20 Youth Panellists for 3 Com’s Planet Project. That is when she received an email about TakingITGlobal from Jennifer. She has been working with iEARN India and is one of the Student Facilitators for iEARN India. She has started a project with her friends in iEARN called the Value of Money in our life. She also attended the 8th Annual iEARN conference in South Africa in July, 2001 along with her very close friend Soujanya Shenoy to conduct a workshop on Value of Money in our life. Besides working on projects she likes to paint, read, listen to music – she is was trying to learning Tabla (kind of Indian drums) as she is infatuated with all the instruments that give beat. She also loves to write articles. She also loves animals and is especially crazy about dogs. She is currently perusing BA in Graphic Design at Concord College, WV in the United States. And she hopes to finish her BA in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University. She is also interested in doing something in the field of education and ICT. She has been a very active member of the Youth Caucus to the World Summit on Information Society, held at the United Nations in Geneva. She has travelled to Malaysia, Bangladesh and Japan to help spread the Youth Caucus and its vision. Working on all these projects has changed her life. She has met so many amazing young people and has got a lot of inspiration from them. She has learnt a lot from all these projects and also got a lot of opportunities to do something good and constructive. She strongly feels that everyone gets an opportunity in life to do something useful and beneficial and one should not let that go, as you never know what you can get out of it.
