He is a founding member of the "Great Nobles" - a university-based association of great minds whose major concerns are nation-building and good governance. Samuel is a freelance writer, an artist and a poet. He has published quality contents in various magazines and newspapers. He also has written some literary pieces soon to hit the public shelves. He is poised to be a Poet Laureate someday. Samuel also design customized hand-crafted gift cards. Samuel is social innovator, hence, he sees his role in the way the society is managed and developed as a sine qua non. He is poised to be the change he hankers for in the society. Samuel strongly believes in fact that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but partners of today. Hence, he is passionate about the empowerment and development of young people. More so, Samuel sees human capital development and capacity building as surefire ways to bring about a more prosperous and sustainable future for all. As a 17-year old teen in 2001, Samuel championed the crusade against alcohol and drug abuse, and examination malpractice in his alma mater. He was given a certificate of honour by the school for his laudable achievements. Samuel has published numerous articles, some of which have been featured in accredited online journals like, paper.li newspaper - CarbonAct and Scoop.it!. He contributes to Voice Blogging Project and Blog Action Day. He was selected by Challenge:Future community and esteemed contest judges as a C:F Super Hero 2102. Samuel has received several writing and community service awards and recognition. Samuel worked together with a team of Young Greens on the TrashBack “Uphinda Phindo!” pilot project which was launched on the 3rd of September 2011 in Imizamo Yethu (IY), Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.TrashBack is a social enterprise that incentivises disadvantaged communities to manage their own waste and recycle. Samuel is currently the leader of the Action Teams at Challenge:Future (www.challengefuture.org). Action Teams are time-bound, online groups of C:F members with goals of creating and sharing specific impact project deliverables throughout each team period. Youth from different countries, backgrounds and contexts connect virtually to work in teams to share know-how and best practices – showcase new innovative solutions that promote sustainability and create new opportunities for youth.
