So many people are focusing on the bad, leaving behind the positive side of a situation because we don’t think about all the aspects. Meanwhile, there are many excuses, for instance, we are so busy; we don’t have time for this kind of reflection! Our goal is to do everything faster every day. We don’t take a break to appreciate the valuable moments we have with our family and friends. We have so much pressure from the society that we have to conform to feel a part. We have so many things to do in one day that we can’t appreciate and live intensely every moment. Every task is counted; every appointment is counted; every meeting is counted. Consequently, one day, even the time we passed with our family and friends is going to be counted, because the faster we do our charges, the better it is. We always want to do everything quicker, but what is the purpose? Besides, what’s the prize for being faster than others? We were conditioned to live this way; always quicker. It’s the North American way of life. We want to be more productive than the others, because time is money. It’s the reason why there are more and more objects that are produced in industries. Human are being replaced by the engines, because they do the work a lot faster than a human could ever do. There are still people who are producing some objects, but they don’t have the salary they deserve, because it would be too much expansive to be lucrative. I’m still wondering who is responsible of this way of life. Who’s guilty? What should we do, individually and collectively to change this situation? Furthermore, we all know it, life is short. For some it’s even shorter. Taking the time to appreciate the moments, even if they aren’t very pleasant, is a way to enjoy life. Some occasions are unique in a lifetime. We also have to think about the conversations we have. Sharing with people is important because we learn from others, and we also learn from our mistakes. In brief, it’s essential to make a reflection of our actions, to judge if they were good or wrong. It’s important to think about our past, to improve our future.
