I like to do things that some people would consider futile. I can basically sum up my philosophy and reason for doing what I do in this parable: "A young boy was walking along the beach in the middle of a sweltering, summer day. As the tide was retreating, he noticed thousands of starfish washed up on the dry sand. As the boy began throwing starfish back into the ocean, a man was passing by and said, 'Son, look how many there are--you will never make a difference.' Smiling, the boy looked at the starfish in his hand, threw it into the ocean, and declared, 'I'll make a difference to that one.'"
