The Western Plateau overlooking palmtree forests

Posted on Aug 10, 2006  |   3360 views

The Nile valley in Upper Egypt is full of palmtree thick forests. The photo shows the Western Plateau overlooking one of these forests near Luxor. It is noticed that these forests exist nearby the Nile river waters, and not further, which explains why the Western Plateau is a very desert region.
