The painting shows the overwhelming liberation battle of Avaris, between the Ancient Egyptians (Left), and the Hyksos who ruled Egypt for 150 years. The Egyptians entered Avaris, the main center for Hyksos Administration, and retook the control over the country, under the leadership of king Ahmose and his son Kamus.
