This photograph was taken just outside an elementary school in a suburban slum near Alexandria, Egypt, that is called Khorshed. We may see some very important aspects, which are the big number of students, the huge amounts of garbage and wastes, the polluted food bought by the students from the merchant, the overall chaos that is seen through the slums, and most important, the way the schoolgirl and her mother are looking, reflecting the misery of that large demographic sector living in such conditions.
