The Eastern Desert
The Eastern Desert of Egypt is the world's largest region in terms of the amount of sunshine received per year. It is also one of the world driest zones. This photo shows some igneous-rocky hills charachterized by their black color, 30 kms southwest of Hurghada, the capital of the Red Sea Governorate.
