Dancing with the Moon
This piece was created by Camila Aguirre as part of the AYV program at the Peterson Schools.
"This work was made to show the audience how sometimes we forget to appreciate our surroundings and how we aren’t using technology as we should. Technology should be a tool for sharing ideas, not for being antisocial in social networks for five hours. I am trying to represent here the moon’s feelings. The moon is sad of not being appreciated as she used to, so the dancer goes up to the sky and dances with her so she doesn’t feel ignored. The intended audience is people from all ages, we are all aloud to appreciate nature the same way."
