Artist(s): Precious Ntlabathi Organization: Umuzi Photo Club Description: Ten learners from East Bank High School in Alexandra Township, Johannesburg documented the repercussions of school-dropouts in their community. Their photos and videos were displayed at a community exhibition for their family members, peers, and community members to see. The project was part of an Umuzi Photo Club initiative to give youth a platform for their voices to be heard. Precious Ntlabathi shot this photo essay to document the challenges of teenage pregnancy and how it can lead to dropping out of school.
