Taipei 101 on a Clear, Summer Day
I grew up in a city with the world's tallest freestanding structure - the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada - and I thought I had seen tall buildings. But Taipei 101 is an even more impressive sight. Especially since there are no buildings around it that can compare in size. Not the most attractive of skyscrapers, but certainly an interesting design. Apparently the architect was inspired by a bamboo shoot. [More like an overgrown pagoda]
