Everyday I work to make this a reality - by doing painting, drawing, sculpture, poetry, novel writing, graphical design, and animation - but more important by promoting the Midnight Assembly, an organisation I set up a few years back to carry the ideals of self expression. It aims to be very much like TakingITGlobal, but in a far more exciting and innovative way. It was started by youth. It is operated by youth. And there is no limit to our ambition. http://midnight-assembly.net The Midnight Assembly is a charitable trust based in Aotearoa (New Zealand) that is committed to cultivating an inspired youth culture. The organisation was created and is totally operated by youth. We intend to make our culture by organising events in the arts, music, film, fashion, internet, media, education, and by encouraging critical discussion over important issues, such as sustainability and climate change. We believe the message of a thriving, creative, insightful youth community can only be achieved by pro-actively building the networks, services, and resources required to facilitate it. The MA creates its culture by becoming the change in the world it wishes to see.
