Sugarcane Fields5

Closing my eyes I find shelter on my far distant memories. Transported to a time when worries and fear had another meaning. A place I could find peace, balance and connection with nature. Retrieving filed scents and colors I can smell again the sugarcane fields on fire before the harvest. I can see the green turning into gray, the blue sky tainted by the smoke and shadowed by red flames. Once again I’m a kid, excited by the noise of the fire, captivated by the change on the landscape. And now, with a brush, almost with my eyes shut I dig out my memories, giving color to distorted images that are as real as they could be.
