After creating online educational games in Toronto, Canada; I moved to Tokyo, Japan, where I worked with adults and child of all ages in an English Preschool and Interactive Language school. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of living in Asia. The people, culture, food, festivals! Upon returning to Toronto, I sought a working position with in a youth run non profit organization. I hoped to use my technical and teaching experience for beneficial purposes. I joined Taking It Global as the Project Manager for a new initiative called ‘Youth Media Exchange.org’. YMEX.org is an online networking site for youth to discuss, engage and promote social change through the use and creation of digital content. This site was launch in 2008, check it out! <http://www.ymex.org/> Other wonderful experiences at TIG include, interviewing Award winning entrepreneurs, creating eCards for International Days and can`t forget tampalining with the TIG staff! But seriously...check out how amazing these individuals are... Taking IT Global members from around the world who ventured into business and were recognized for their efforts as young leaders of social at the Global Social Entrepreneurs' Youth Conference which was held in Malaysia. If you are interested in learning more about these incredible individuals, check out the report in the Panorama Section next month (February 2008).
