Prior to that he was the Director of Information Technology at the American University... read more Hamdullah Mohib is studying for his PhD at Brunel University, researching the future of Internet Governance. Prior to that he was the Director of Information Technology at the American University of Afghanistan. He is a graduate of Computer Systems Engineering from Brunel University (UK); born in Afghanistan and hence carry great deal of love for the country. Hamdullah is passionate about social/voluntary activities. Utilising his time as a student, he ceased every opportunity to get involved in something. Some of his involvements and activities are listed here. In 2004 Hamdullah established the Brunel Afghan Students society. He severed as the Treasurer for two years and as the President for a year. He also established the Afghan Students Association UK (ASAUK). The aims of ASAUK are to promote education amongst Afghans and to improve employment prospects of Afghans. Hamdullah stepped down as the president in July 2008 leaving the new committee with over 850 members nationwide, a one hour a week radio web-cast group, a mentoring team and a project to raise money for Afghan universities, to carry forward. Hamdullah believes that for Afghans to be successful they will need to stop depending on others. Afghans need to make use of the resources and the knowledge that is shared amongst them to rebuild their country. Afghans have a past they are proud of and Hamdullah's dream for Afghanistan is to have a future that they can be proud of too. Hamdullah also believe that different cultures properly integrated together gives a society the ingredients it needs to stay healthy.
