His professional interests include public health, clinical research and chronic disease epidemiology. Dr. Baxi is a member of the American College of Epidemiology and Chair of the Minority Affairs Committee of the College. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute and a certified Project Management Professional. He is a reviewer for the American Public Health Association and Canadian Public Health Association as well as the British Medical Journal. He has been advisor to the Global Burden of Diseases Research Project, the World Health Organization as well as Microsoft, Inc. Dr. Baxi is an alum of Medical College and The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India and the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University in New York, United States.
