Sumatran Orangutan Pongo abelii

The Sumatran Orangutan is a distinct species from it's Bornean Cousin. Due to the threat of Sumatran Tigers they spend much more time in the Trees and have been found in peat swamp lowland rainforest at the highest densities of any Orangutan on the planet. The species has been assessed as critically endangered on the IUCN Red List and are considered one of "The World's 25 Most Endangered Primates."
