This is one of my favourite pics from NY. The whole atmosphere of 'the city that never sleeps' is very well conveyed in the shot: busy streets seething with activity, the flashy video advertising and the diversity of population.

This piece is all about the media pressure forced upon women in everyday life. The suffocating Gender Roles which are still so stringent in our Media thirsty society.
But most of all it is about my personal rebellion against having to conform to such old fashioned and materialistic ideals.
This is supposed to be a representation of the moral panic created by the media about the damage done to children by the music they listen to. This is arguably more sculpture work than photography.

The film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind stuck with me in a good way and a bad way. It was so brutally honest about relationships, it made me feel pessimistic. A second viewing made me feel optimistic! I guess relationships are hard and sometimes damaging but we all keep going! This particualr scene in the film speaks volumes to me, hence...
It really has that amazing effect on people... It can calm you down, or even get you excited... It takes you away, or even brings you back to that place where you belong.
