HOPE + ANGER IS ALL WE GOT. As a black person living in American I have so much fear. I have fear for myself and the people that look like me. In addition to the fear, I am very angry. At times, these feelings can motivate me to be active in my community to make a change. However, I have to admit that I feel hopeless. What does it say about our society that the police can...

There is Still Time for Change This art work has significant supymbolism behind it. It represents how time is running out and the importance of saving the beauty left in earth. Moreover, the top shows how we still have hope to change but time is running out, shown by the bottom of the hourglass. This shows the need of action, time for change.

Contrast Today and Tomorrow On the left, the earth is green, birds fly, and rain clouds bring water to the fish. I skip rocks and am happy. Rainforest trees are growing and the fox is playing. On the right, the climate has changed. The trees have died. There are big storms. The earth is dry and cracked. Even the water has evaporated in a forest fire.

Save the Bears Polar bears are starving because they have to swim so far to reach their food. They have to wait a long time to eat - eight months! Sometimes the mum bears are dying, too. Our whole earth gets too hot for them. Indigenous youth can speak up, stand up, and write to Justin Trudeau. We kids can walk or carpool to school, and buy things that last.

Help Polar Bears Polar bears are hungry and unhappy because the ice is shrinking. You can walk or bike to school to slow global warming. We share indigenous knowledge of the world when we Skype.

What we are doing? I reimagined my 'characters' as human (female) faces since we are the main cause of the mess we live in. On the left, I expressed our 'before' - what our environment looked like, and on the right, I expressed our 'becoming' - what our environment is turning to. We can see the division of the bright, vibrant colors and the dark, dull as a sign...
