I love this photo! I was visiting friends in Syria in 2005. One friend took me to Lebanon for the weekend where we met up with other friends. Here I was waiting in the taxi at Damascus bus station for the driver to sort out passport formalities. Nice memories, great hospitality.
I painted this a year ago, but I still have it and it's one of my favorites. At that time, I was really into bulls and I added confusing background which was just an inspiration from Paul Signac, a Neo-impressionist/ pointillist.
