Astam Village at a glance!
This is a picture taken by Miss Yumi Nishiwaki from Japan. This pisture was taken in 2007 while we were in Astam Village which lies in Dhital VDC-near from Pokhara. We were there in Astam for the establishment of Community Information Center(CIC) as the "Information Brother " and "Information Sister" of Nepal Rural Information Technology Development Society (NRIDS).We had a very nice experience that the people of Astam-Dhital VDC were so mcuh willing for the development of their village that they were self motivated to transform their village thru ICT. I will be uploading the photos of the event so as to let you know how the rural people of Nepal are also working hard to transform their village with the feeling of "For the Community By the Community and To the Community."
Also I will be uploading the photograhs so as to let you know how NRIDS is mobilising youth for the development of Rural Communities of Nepal.
