Stillness

A quote by Jon Kabat-Zinn in his book 'Wherever you go, there you are' inspired me to create this painting. The quote is "At times visited by violent storms, buffeted by snow and rain and winds of unthinkable magnitude, through it all the mountain sits, unmoved by the weather, by what happens on the surface" The mountain is a metaphor for inner strength, the strength to be still and unwavering in the face of external factors.
