I painted this after the 1984 painting which represented chaos and being torn. 'Kiss of an Angel is about reaching a state of clarity, humility and acceptance.' I actually made this based on a small statue that I had in my room at the time. It was important for me to bring closure and a sense of calm to the emotional turmoil that I felt during the time that I created the 1984 painting.
